Darlene Hilde-Rolle has gained quite a following in her 2nd season of entertaining audiences throughout the Rio
Grande Valley. Her unique brand of comedy features Darlene as the beloved “Auntie Kreamsaugen”, a streetwise
self-proclaimed marriage counselor dressed in the traditional garb of the Midwestern farm wife. In addition to stand-
up comedy, audiences have enjoyed her witty musical renditions of songs we all know, homespun wisdom and tall
tales from the fabled “Snoose Hollow.”
Darlene hails from a Scandinavian community in rural Minnesota and grew up in a household filled with
Country/Western and Gospel music.
Her parents and siblings all sang and played instruments, some of them professionally into adulthood.
Darlene and her husband, Dick Rolle call Detroit Lakes, MN their home.
They have a son and two grandchildren in Michigan.
Younger generations of Darlene’s family have inherited the love of entertainment and have built and maintained
“Jasper’s Theater” in
Park Rapids, MN - A Branson, Missouri-type variety show that is
family-owned and family-run, featuring the music, magic and comedy of
four generations of Darlene’s family and friends- which is the home base
of Auntie Kreamsaugen in summer months for the past 8 years.
