The Jacob Austin Band is truly a family band consisting of
David, Liz, and Jacob Austin.
Jacob, although the youngest member, is the namesake of the group as music
has been his passion since a very early age. It is a passion that simmered for
many years until Jacob became active in a local performing arts group and
found his love of singing at the ripe old age of ten. The group has been
performing together since 2005 and has done many, many shows in all sorts of
venues ranging from churches to livestock shows. Jacob and his father, David,
started performing together when Jacob could no longer do karaoke with the
local performing arts group due to his voice changing.

David plays six and twelve string rhythm guitars and sings harmonies and backup vocals with Jacob.

The Jacob Austin Band strives to have a unique sound and play a variety of styles of music. All the music the group performs has a
bluegrass flavor because of the instruments they play; however, music genres such as traditional country, gospel, show tunes, original
material, Americana, and more are included in their repertoire.
