He won top honors in: KEYBOARD PLAYER of the year, GOSPEL ARTIST of the year, and the top prize
ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR. FAME (Families Advocating Moral Entertainment) which started in
Branson, MO in 1986 and was held in Pharr, TX this year. Bennett now joins previous winner of the
FAME Award, such masters as Roy Acuff, Merle Haggard, Hank Thompson, Bob Wills, Elvis Presley
and the list goes on.
Jerry has been entertaining during the winter season in the coastal bend of Texas since 2006, first
appearing at the Rockport Gospel Festival hosted by the Rockport Police Department. Jerry has since
become a favorite of “Winter Texans”. He has a country flare and voice that connects with this audience.
Watch for and enjoy him at south Texas churches, RV Parks, and "Country Opry" appearances.

After the Rockport Gospel Festival, Jerry started entertaining at RV Parks in the Rio Grande Valley and rumors started to circulate that his was one of
the best shows. The news spread and Jerry was invited to be a part of the People’s Choice Awards held in Mission, TX. Jerry was one of eight
artists/groups asked to participate in the 2010 People's Choice Awards in the Rio Grande Valley on February 13, 2010. A sold out crowd of over 600
After seeing Jerry's energy, enthusiasm, and the way an audience responds to him, many of the larger parks in the Valley booked Jerry on their
calendars for the next season. Bennett is known as a great crowd pleaser with great voice diction, power vocals, and honky-tonk pianist. Audiences
love to hear Jerry "cut loose" on the piano comparing his style to that of Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, and Jimmy Swaggert.
Jerry’s roots go back to the state of Pennsylvania where he was born and raised in the town of US President James Buchanan. His kindergarten
teacher at the Mountain View Elementary School annotated a special note on his report card under music “he has an unusually good singing voice”.
Jerry started playing in his local church at a very young age of 8 or 9. He has won numerous competitions from that time on. In his young adult life,
he was part of several performing group acts winning many regional talent shows and competitions. He started writing songs at the age of 17. Jerry
co-wrote a Diamond Award nomination in 1996 for “Song of the Year” in Nashville, TN. He has traveled with Gaither Homecoming Artists “The
Freeman's” and “The Hemphill's”. He has recorded over 13 CD solo projects and in the past several LP (long play) albums. You can find his work on

Jerry contributed in the homeless ministry in Nashville with the Hemphill's from 2005 – 2009. He was also a program director for Gospel Music
Television. His tours take him all over the United States and Canada. He books dates with local fairs, churches, and other entertainment venues. No
doubt he is a great addition to any program secular or religious. His program is totally impressive for any lover of music at any age from the young to
