| THE RGV'S NEWEST VENUE, This award-winning duo, have been named "Best Country Singers" two years running by the National Traditional Country Music Association. Both have incredibly clear, beautiful voices and sing haunting harmonies. Bruce will also be playing the pedal steel and a little banjo and fiddle from time to time. Elaine will be playing rhythm guitar and a little mandolin. Seasoned professional musicians, entertainers, and song-writers in their own right, this year they have teamed up with the "Best of the Best" right here in the Rio Grand Valley to provide a musical variety show you won't get anywhere else! Along with Bruce and Elaine is an all-star, award winning group, consisting of three of the most talented musicians to come upon the RGV scene. On bass guitar is F.A.M.E. (Families Advocating Moral Entertainment) "Electric Bass Guitarist of the Year", Bruce Wutzke. On drums is F.A.M.E. "Drummer of the Year" and studio musician, Bill Amundson. On lead guitar is Western Ontario's "Country Guitar Player of the Year", Gene Bender. On pedal steel guitar will be Bruce Nelson and on rhythm guitar, Elaine Nelson. Both Bruce Wutzke and Gene Bender will lend their vocal talents to both lead and harmony vocals throughout the show. Although you'll get a touch of family-style humor now and again, the focus is on the music... great music ...all the time! You will enjoy the classic country music of Merle, Willie, Patsy, Loretta and other country legends, but the show is not limited to any one kind of music. You'll hear a bit of that great old-time rock-n-roll, bluegrass, gospel, a touch of jazz and blues and even some of the old romantic tunes from the 20's-40's. In addition to the great music provided by Bruce and Elaine and The Variety Music Showcase Band, You will also enjoy an exciting line-up of guest entertainers throughout the season. Truly, something for everyone! Bentsen Palm RV Park at 4201 N. Bentsen Palm Drive in Mission Texas, is hosting the show every Sunday beginning January 3 from 2-4 PM. The cost of this show will be a token $5.00 donation at the door. There will be a short intermission in the middle of the show. Snacks and concessions will be available at that time. Where else in the valley can you get a 2-hour show featuring such fine entertainment for only $5? Seating is limited so we encourage you to arrive early. |
