We have worked throughout Mexico for 16 years taking Spanish Bibles to churches.
Also we take food, blankets and other necessities to families when we see the needs.
As the doors close in Mexico because of violence, we are planning to use some of our time
to minister and take Bibles to the Native Americans. We've taken some initial trips already in
that direction.
We are ordinary retired people, not specially trained, sort-a winter Texans living in Leisure
World in Weslaco for 6 months each year.
It doesn't take special training to minister to people in need. It just takes willingness to go.
There are a few who help us financially with our work, but we don't like to lean heavily on
asking for donations. That's a turnoff. It's not easy for us to ask for anything, but sometimes
people have campers and they don't want them anymore, and are looking for a way to get rid
of them. Even a tax write-off.
We could come up with a little toward a camper, it would have to be around $500 and not
much more. Even an old camper, a fixer upper.
When we go to the reservations, we have to do motels and that eats up our money.
This may be a long shot as they say, but it's worth a try. Our trips would be more in the spring
and summer months. Maybe under God's direction, someone will feel impressed to put their
camper on the mission field.
Thanks for your help,
